Dentokan Martial Arts and Dentokan Charities
Dentokan is a worldwide martial arts organisation. This site is focussed mainly on the charitable part of our organisation, but does have lots of material on Dentokan martial arts and related links. There is a members area.
Dentokan International Fellowship Programme
The programme will involve selected young martial artists still undergoing formal education at schools, colleges, and universities; and will offer the opportunity to visit another country to gain experience of another culture and to participate in advanced martial arts training. In 2009 the programme provided 10 fellowships for Zimbabwean students and Zambian students, to travel to the UK.
Dentokan

We provide facilities and resources in the interests of social welfare for education and recreation, in particular martial arts.
We do this for young people and/or those from socially or economically disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK and abroad.
We aim to develop their skills and capabilities and improve their conditions of life.
Dentokan in Africa
The oriental martial arts can have a positive effect in Africa :
by facilitating pride in championship performance, or community service;
by teaching self-defence;
by instilling discipline;
by helping to create fitness and strength;
by exposing students to other, particularly oriental, cultures;
by providing a means to escape the mental burdens and constraints of poverty.
